About two months ago, Cambodia’s education ministry allowed the country’s oldest university Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) to launch the Vietnamese language department in the university, becoming a controversial debate. About two months later, a video clip depicting Prime Minister Hun Sen’s family singing a birthday song in the Vietnamese language was uploaded on social media with a caption saying the family started learning the language. The video clip got a thousand shares, comments, and reactions from social media users. However, running a Google Reverse Image Search proves the video was voiced over with the Vietnamese tone.
