
Imageries of beautiful places have been published and spread on social media including the real and the fake ones. Meanwhile, a photo showing a stone rock with a lighthouse built on top was posted on a Facebook page recently. This photo may be believed to be real as it has been shared and reacted with mixed comments many times by Facebook users. However, after running a Google Reverse Image Search, it proves that the photo described above is altered.

Social Media Claim
On April 19, 2022, one of the Facebook pages called Magical Nature has posted a photo depicting a stone rock along with a lighthouse built on top. This Facebook page did not provide any details on its locations at all.
It may be believed to be real by some users as this photo has been shared many times with mixed reactions from Facebook users recently.
The following screenshot was captured from the above Facebook page which shows the stone rock with a lighthouse built on top.

Fact Check
Fact Crescendo Cambodia had started to check and verify this photo directly by running a Google Reverse Image search, which brought us to the sources containing the following photos.
An exact photo with the same shape and form has been out on Istockphoto, an online royalty free, international micro stock photography provider based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This website does not feature the stone rock having a lighthouse built on top at all.
The following snapshot was captured from the above website which shows the real view of New Eddystone Rock in Ketchikan, Alaska, US.

Similarly, according to Encircle Photo, it also shown an exact view of this stone rock which is famously known as New Eddystone Rock. New Eddystone Rock was a volcanic vent five million years ago and then shaped by glaciers. The tree-covered tower stands in the Behm Canal between the Revillagigedo Island in the background and an entrance to the Misty Fjords National Monument. It has been a popular sight for visitors since European navigator George Vancouver documented his discovery in 1793.

Fact Crescendo Cambodia has found that the above photo is actually altered. The original image of New Eddystone Rock located in Alaska, the United States, shows no building on its top at all.
