A viral claim this week said Chun Chanboth – Deputy Director of the U.S.-fund Radio Free Asia (RFA) – passed away after he had an operation. The claim had been widely shared, and many Khmer-speaking social media users asked whether the claim was true. However, after getting clarifications from RFA journalists, we prove the claim is false.
