Fact Crescendo conducted a thorough review of the images using Google Reverse Image Search uncovering the true nature of the photo.
A reverse image search led to the discovery of the original photo on Getty Images, where it was captioned: “US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents arrested alleged immigration violators at Fresh Mark, Salem, June 19, 2018”.
Upon closer inspection, the original image shows a man in handcuffs wearing a plain grey shirt with no message on the back.
