Fact Crescendo Cambodia also sought verification from Duong Dara – one of assistants to Cambodia’s PM Hun Sen. Dara replied to our questions in Telegram on November 16, acknowledging the original photo showing PM Hun Sen and his wife. Asked when and where the photo was taken, he had not been aware about that thus far.

Many altered photos of PM Hun Sen and his wife have been found on social media. In its article published in August, Fact Crescendo Cambodia found out a photo hanged on a wall in the office of PM Hun Sen was altered. The full fact check can be read here.

In mid-April, Fact Crescendo Cambodia debunked a photo showing PM Hun Sen’s wife stood next to Vietnam’s leader. We found the original photo depicts PM Hun Sen taking a picture with his wife.
