Is this a watering ceremony to get a husband in India?
While many videos of Indians have been posted on social media, a video clip showing a group of women shaking after receiving water from a man dressed as a pastor was posted on social media with the claim that it is a watering ceremony for women to get married soon in India. This assertion has been shared many times, with mixed expressions and reactions as well. However, we found that the claims in this video are misleading.

A half-minute video clip showing a group of women shaking and lying on the floor was posted on Facebook recently. This video clip is claimed to be a watering ceremony to help women get to the couple as soon as possible by a man dressed as a pastor in India. The video clip above has been re-shared several times, along with a variety of comments and reactions from social media users who speak Khmer.

Fact Crescendo Cambodia reviewed and verified the above claim through the Google Reverse Image Search process, which led to the following facts:
An exact video clip with the same format and shape was found on Instagram and posted on the account called “Chamatkar Church TV” in July 2023, without specifying that it was a celebration of a watering ceremony for women who want a husband.
Below is a video clip showing a religious scene performed and organized by Chamatkar Church in India.

Similarly, another video clip was also found and broadcast by Chamatkar Church TV on the YouTube video site in July 2023. The video above shows a complete overview of the religious services in its church with watering on the participants, which in turn represents the power to purify, deliver, and destroy evil.
Chamatkar Church of Jesus in India was founded in 2001 by Amar Deep Singh, and its vision is to reach the unreached areas. As of today, their church is the biggest church in Rajasthan, while their main church is situated in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan.
