Is this grandmother 300 years old?
Even though a lot of people have lived longer than 100 years on Earth, a picture of an elderly woman celebrating her 300th birthday has gone viral on social media. Users have shared and commented on the aforementioned post numerous times. The fact-finding team at Fact Crescendo Cambodia found, however, that what was claimed about the photos being shared on social media is false.

Social Media Claim
A Facebook user uploaded a short clip of an old woman sitting on a hospital bed with a birthday cake on November 9, 2023. Such claims, that the grandmother was 300 years old, were shared numerous times on Facebook, eliciting a range of responses and sentiments from people in general.
The video footage above is shown below, with the user commenting, “Grandma is 300 years old and celebrating her birthday.”

Fact Crescendo Cambodia team reviewed and verified the above claim through the Google Reverse Image Search process, which led us to find the following facts:
A photo of the exact same shape was found and posted by a Facebook user named “Antonio Di Lernia” on November 6, 2023. The picture above is made with artificial intelligence (AI) technology only. The following is an excerpt from a post by the social media user described in Italian as “Auguriiiiiii,” or “Wish” in English.
Fact Crescendo Cambodia also discovered that other photos—including numerous images of international leaders—had been shared that had been altered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The longest-living woman on Earth, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is Jeanne Louise, who was born on February 21, 1875, and passed away at the age of 122 years and 164 days in Arles, France, on August 4, 1997.
