Fact Crescendo Cambodia began checking the claim by running a Google Reverse Image Search which led us to find out facts below.

The full frame of the photo depicting Cambodia’s former King Norodom Sihanouk and his wife Queen Norodom Monineath dressing in foreign clothes was found on the Chinese website Free We Chat which was published in September 2016.

The photo caption says the late King and his wife dressed in Mongolian customs, according to the website’s report.

Cambodia’s royal couple was among other world leaders who dressed in Mongolian clothes including Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Below is the capture of the photo captioned “Prince Norodom Sihanouk and Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk in Mongolian robes.”

Fact Crescendo Cambodia cannot find out more information about the image and had tried to reach out to Prince Sisowath Thomico who is a former assistant to the late King, but he has yet to respond until this article was published.

Fact Crescendo Cambodia found out the claim mentioned above is misleading. The robes dressed by Cambodia’s former King Norodom Sihanouk and Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk are Mongolian customs.
