The claim that it occurred and that it was taken from the Aeon mall in Phnom Penh and that the man passed out because of the long lines to purchase two bottles of perfume was linked to the goods. Numerous Facebook users who speak Khmer have shared this claim and given it a varied response. The Google Reverse Image search, however, demonstrates that the images that accompanied the above claim were false.

Social Media Claim
A Facebook page published 4 images on August 23, 2022, of which 2 were showing a man passing out in front of a crowd, asserting that is what occurred in the Aeon Mall in Phnom Penh. The reason why there were so many people waiting in long lines to buy was also expressed on the same Facebook page, two perfume bottles. Social media users frequently shared this assertion along with the mixed feelings and responses are also present.
The rescue squad is helping hundreds of individuals leave the Aeon Mall because thousands of people are waiting in line to buy perfume, according to the Facebook post above.

Fact Check
Fact Crescendo Cambodia began to investigate the stated claim using Google Reverse Image Search, which let us discover the reality as follows.
An exact photo showing the crowd was found and posted on the “Crescent Mall” Facebook page seven years ago. The same Facebook page confirms that people lined up occured at the Crescent Mall during a night sale or aka “Midnight Sale”.

The following is a comparison between the original photo and the edited photo, showing perfume products.

Another photo of a man lying on a floor was also found on the local news website, Fresh News, which was published on February 09, 2020.
