Fact Crescendo started debunking the above claim by conducting a reverse image search. This led us to uncover key facts, revealing the true origin of the image.
During the reverse image search, we discovered the authentic photo that had been published in various news reports related to factory operations in India.
Published in Hindustan Times’s news report, it indicates it depicted operations inside a mobile phone manufacturing plant in India during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This photo was credited to the Reuters News Agency.

By comparing the two images, we discovered that the Facebook post image had been edited from the original photo by adding an image of Elon Musk and altering the color of the workers’ clothing. Please refer to the compared image below.
The news report also indicated that this photo was of the phone assembly line in a manufacturing plant located in Noida city – a home to global technology corporations including Nokia.
However, the news report did not reveal the name of the mobile phone factory or specify which company it was assembling phones for.
